Privacy
Your bills, payments and settings live on your iPhone and nowhere else. There is no account, and nothing you type is sent to us or to anyone.
What the app keeps, and where
Every bill you add (its name, currency, balance, rate, payment and due day), every payment, lump sum and charge you log, and your settings are kept in the app's own storage on your phone. We never receive them.
The one thing the app asks the internet for
When you open the app, at most every few hours, it asks this site for the day's exchange rates (debtsorted.ncstudiodigital.com/api/rates), which repeats the European Central Bank's public reference rates. The request carries nothing about you or your bills. Like any request on the internet it comes from your phone's IP address; this site does not log or keep it, sets no cookie and gives you no identifier. Cloudflare, which runs this site, handles the request in passing as any web host does.
Without a connection the app uses the last rates it had and says which day they are from.
Face ID
If you turn on App lock, iOS checks your face or your passcode. Debt Sorted only learns whether it was you. Your face never reaches the app.
Reminders
Reminders are set on your phone by the app itself. There is no push service and no device token: nothing is sent to us to make them arrive.
Backups and exports
Your bills are part of your iPhone's own backup (iCloud Backup or a computer), under your Apple account. A backup file or a CSV you save from the app goes only where you send it.
What there is not
No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no third-party software that collects anything. Debt Sorted is not linked to a bank and never asks for bank details.
Deleting your data
In the app: Settings › Backup & export › Delete everything on this phone. Deleting the app does the same. A backup file you saved yourself stays where you saved it, for you to delete. We hold nothing about you, so there is nothing to ask us to delete.
Children
Debt Sorted is for adults managing their own money and is not directed at children.
